Producer Price Index for Miscellaneous processed foods

Description

PPI or Producer Price Index (also known as wholesale price index) for miscellaneous processed foods. PPI data is normalized with price for 1982 = 100. The PPI value presented here is the average of the monthly value for each year. Includes the following:

  • canned jams, jellies, and preserves
  • pickles and other pickled products, including horseradish
  • pickles and other pickled products
  • processed eggs, liquid, dried, or frozen
  • specialty canning
  • canned dry beans
  • canned soups and stews, excluding frozen and seafood
  • canned baby foods and other canned specialties/nationality foods
  • frozen specialty food
  • frozen cakes, pies, and other pastries
  • frozen dinners (beef, pork, and poultry pies) and nationality foods, incl. frozen pizza
  • other frozen specialties, excluding seafood
  • prepared sauces, except tomato
  • prepared sauces, excluding tomato-based sauces and sauces comprised of 20 percent or more meat
  • other miscellaneous processed foods
  • mayonnaise, salad dressings, and sandwich spreads
