Death due to STDs by gender in the US, 1996 - 2014

Description

Women had more than twice the death rate in the US due to Chlamydia between 1996 and 2014 (505 deaths per 100,000 population), while men had a death rate of 170 deaths. The situation for Gonorrhea was more or less the same for both groups at around 115 deaths per 100,00. Death rate for Syphillis was higher for men at 6 deaths compared to women at 1.4 deaths per 100,000.
