As of December 2019. Youtube implemented a system of likes and dislikes in 2010. Currently, "Despacito" is the most-liked video at 35 million likes, and has been in that spot for 862 days.

The first video to hit the most liked list was the "Evolution of Dance" video by Judson Laipply at 620,000 likes on March 31, 2010. This video held the position for 462 days, and was overtaken by "Baby" (Justin Bieber) on July 6, 2011. The video which has stayed the longest at the most-liked position is "Gangnam Style" by Psy.
