Change in death rate due to lung cancer across the US

Description

This chart shows percentage change in the number of deaths due to cancer of the trachea, bronchus and lung between 1999 and 2017. The percentage change is computed with the number of deaths in 1999 as a baseline. For example, Warren County, NJ had 49 deaths in 1999 due to lung cancer and 55 deaths in 2000, which works out to an increase of 12.2% in the death rate. Another example would be: Windham County, VT had 39 deaths in 1999 and 23 deaths in 2000 which works out to -41%, a decrease in the number of deaths.

The blue sections in the above map indicate that no data is available for those counties.
